Product Description

This quality 4/4 triple chime floor clock with its beautiful Walnut finish has been crafted and designed by the German clockmakers of "Hermle".

The case is fitted with solid brass and brass plated components as well as a revolving moon dial, Roman numerals and serpentine hands.

It features 4/4 chimes (Westminster, Whittington and St Michaels) that sound on 9 long polished brass tubes.

It also has automatic night shut off of chimes (off at 10.00pm and on again at 7.00am), automatic chime synchronisation and beat adjustment.

The quality movement is weight-driven on cables and is fitted with 8 jewels to reduce wear and tear.

The three brass weights will drop towards the floor over a week and then require "winding" by pulling on the chains and raising the weights to the top.

As with all Sydney Clock Company products, this clock is covered with a 12 month warranty from the invoice purchase date.

History of the Hermle Clock Company - 90 years of German Clock Making Tradition (03:55)
Welcome to The Well Made Clock. We hope you enjoy this brief and informative video about the History Of The Hermle Clock Company. Background: It was 1922 in the small town of Gosheim, nestled in the Black Forest region of Germany when founder Franz Hermle began to make his clocks. Within a decade the Franz Hermle Clock Company gained worldwide recognition as a leader in the efficient manufacturing of clock movements. In 1953, the operation was passed on to Franz's four sons who continued to build the business into the world's leading of manufacturer of mechanical clock movements. And since then, they have been masters in hand crafting clockwork mechanisms. In 1977 Hermle opened an additional plant in Amherst, Virginia, U.S.A, to serve the North American market. The tradition as a family owned and operated business carries on at Hermle, now in its third generation. High accuracy and perfect precision of every single component is why Hermle clock movements are considered to be among the world's very best. The enduring quality and performance of every Hermle clock is backed by a full 3-year in-house guarantee, the longest warranty in the industry. It's no wonder why Hermle exports clocks, movements, and clock accessories to more than 80 countries worldwide.
