SCC20 Timer Instructions
INSTRUCTIONS - SCC20
Large Digital Clock with UP/DOWN Timer and 1/100 Stopwatch.
Congratulations on purchasing a clock from The Sydney Clock Company.
Please read the following instructions which explain the setting / running functions. (NB: The remote controller must be kept in a dry, dustproof environment. Damage from moisture / dust etc, will not be covered under warranty.)

Top left - The red button will turn the display ON and OFF.
The SUN/MOON button will change between one of 5 brightness settings.
The mute button on the top right corner of the remote will silence the “beeping” at the beginning / end of timer functions.
There are four main functions:
- Clock function with 12 or 24 hour format.
- Count “UP” timer.
- Count “DOWN” timer.
- 1/100 sec. Stopwatch.
FUNCTION 1: Run and set the clock: When the power is turned on the clock function will be displayed.
Push the 12Hrs button for AM/PM time or the 24Hrs button for 24 hour time. To set the time, press the “EDIT” button and the display will flash. Enter the time required using the numerals on the keypad. When the time is correct, press “EDIT” again to start the clock.
FUNCTION 2: Count “UP” timer.
Press the up button and the display will show 00:00:00.
To start the timer push “OK”. The timer can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”. When the timer is stopped, pushing the button will reset the timer to 00:00:00. The timer has a 10 second “delay to start “, when it counts down to the timer starting. The last 3 seconds a “beep” is heard. To turn off the “delay to start “ push +/-10
FUNCTION 3: Count “DOWN” timer.
Press the down button and the display will show eg. 00:10:00. This indicates the timer is set to count down from 10 minutes. If you wish to alter the count down time, push the “EDIT” button and the display will flash. Enter the count down time period required using the numerals on the keypad. When the timer period is correct, press “EDIT” again to confirm. To start the timer push “OK”. The timer can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”. When the timer is stopped, pushing the button will reset the timer to eg. 00:10:00. The timer has a 10 second “delay to start “ when it counts down to the timer starting. The last 3 seconds a “beep” is heard. To turn off the “delay to start “ push +/-10
FUNCTION 4: 1/100 sec. STOPWATCH.
Press the stopwatch button and the display will show “F3:00:00” . To start the stopwatch push “OK”. The stopwatch can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”. When the stopwatch is stopped, pushing the button will reset the stopwatch to “F3:00:00” The stopwatch has a 10 second “delay to start “ when it counts down to the stopwatch starting. The last 3 seconds a “beep” is heard. To turn off the “delay to start “ push +/-10
FUNCTION 5: Tabata Timer.
Tabata mode consists of 8 x 20 second intense training periods with 10 seconds of rest in between each period. There is one “beep” when each training period ends and two “beeps” when each rest period ends.
Press the TBTkeyto enter the Tabata timer mode.
To start the Tabata timer push “OK”. The timer can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”. Push the TBT key to reset.
FUNCTION 6: FGB Timer.
FGB mode consists of 15 x one minute training periods with one minute rest time in between each.
There is a “beep” when each training period starts and one “beep” when rest time starts.
Press the FGB key to enter FGB mode.
To start the FGB Timer push “OK”. The timer can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”.
Push the FGB key to reset.
FUNCTION 7: Interval Timer.
The interval timer is for custom workouts and rest times.(maximum 99 intervals).
Two red blinking dots indicate workout time. One red blinking dot indicates rest time.
Press the INTkeyto enter the Interval timer mode.
Press the EDIT key once and enter the number of intervals required.(1-99)
Press the EDIT key a second time and enter the workout time in minutes and seconds. MM:SS
Press the EDIT key a third time to set the rest time in minutes and seconds. MM:SS
Press the EDIT key a fourth time to save and exit.(or, Press the EXIT key to exit without saving).
If you now press a number key it will save this custom setting under that number.
To start the Interval Timer push “OK”. The timer can be stopped and started again by pushing “OK”.
Push the INT key to reset.
FUNCTION 8: BIG RED BUTTON. (Optional on the SCC20 timer).
NB: If your timer includes the wired “BIG RED BUTTON” this is attached by plugging the cable into the side of the unit.
Once plugged in, the “BIG RED BUTTON” works to START/STOP the timing functions of the unit. The remote control is required to reset and change timer modes.
NB: Whilst changing between timer functions and re-setting timer functions, please allow 5-10 seconds for the timer to reset.
If your timer appears to be unresponsive, please take a 10 second break and try again.
